This project was designed as a rooftop patio and public streetscape, providing a versatile outdoor amenity within an urban setting. The rooftop patio was organized to support social gathering and relaxation, with clearly defined seating areas and circulation that encourage both casual use and group activity.
Key design elements include shade structures, wind screens, artificial turf, and unit pavers, selected for durability and comfort in an exposed rooftop environment. Pergolas and screening elements help define outdoor spaces and provide protection from sun and wind, while a mix of hardscape and softscape materials creates a cohesive, welcoming rooftop landscape.

This project involved the design of a rooftop patio serving a 0.23-hectare site containing one two-storey commercial building and two single-storey commercial buildings. The rooftop amenity was planned as a flexible, shared outdoor space offering a range of seating, gathering, and lounging options to support diverse users throughout the day.
The design includes dedicated areas for barbecuing, social gathering, and casual relaxation, as well as a child play area and a separate dog run, thoughtfully arranged to maintain clear separation for safety and comfort. Circulation routes and planting buffers help define each program area while maintaining visual connectivity across the rooftop, creating a functional and welcoming outdoor environment that enhances the overall site experience.

This project involved the design of a rooftop patio for a 29-storey residential building on a 0.87-hectare site in downtown Brampton. Serving over 700 residential units, the rooftop was conceived as a key shared amenity, providing generous outdoor space for residents to relax, gather, and connect above the city.
The design offers a range of seating, dining, and lounging areas organized around pergolas, integrated planters, and open turf spaces. Barbecue areas and flexible gathering zones are balanced with quieter, shaded seating to accommodate a variety of users and activities. Durable materials and layered planting create a comfortable, inviting rooftop environment that supports daily use and enhances resident well-being.

The rooftop at this site is designed as an active leisure and fitness-focused amenity, offering a variety of spaces that encourage movement, play, and social interaction. As shown in the rooftop plan, the layout supports continuous activity with a running track that loops around the rooftop and connects to key program areas.
Active uses include a badminton court, outdoor fitness equipment zones, and multiple children’s play structures, complemented by seating, rest, and lounge areas located throughout the space. Together, these elements create a dynamic rooftop environment that promotes an active lifestyle and accommodates users of all ages.
